If you are going to a makeup artist or doing it yourself, it can be helpful to have a photo of the look you are trying to achieve. Although a lot of websites revolving around wedding planning have beauty sections, I’ve hard a hard time find useful examples of makeup styles but maybe you will have better luck. Another option is bridal magazines, which provide endless advertisements with women wearing different styles of makeup. You can also turn to magazines that do not have to do with weddings, such as In Style and Glamour. If you can’t find an entire look that you like, try to find elements that appeal to you. Think about what features you like the most, these are the areas you should focus on.
Smokey eyes are a great way to add drama to your look, but keep cheeks and lips subdued to avoid it being overkill.
